BioPlot
Statistics and graphs for bench scientists, in the browser. Enter or import a data table, choose an analysis, and get a graph with the method, options and version recorded beside every result.
Open BioPlot BioPlot, formerly Plotvera, is served from plotvera.app while the rename completes.
What it does
- A table, analysis and graph workflow familiar to anyone who has used Prism.
- Reads Prism .prism and .pzfx files and Prism graphs embedded in PowerPoint; see the compatibility matrix in the app for what is carried over and what is re-created.
- Statistics checked against R and NIST reference values with published tolerances. The validation report in the app lists each method, its reference and its tolerance, including the cases that do not yet pass.
- Per-analysis provenance: method, options, version, build and a fingerprint of the data.
- Exports figures at exact physical size and resolution; confirm your target journal's requirements.
Where your data goes
Your project stays in this browser unless you choose cloud share or an AI request. Cloud share links are stored with Supabase for 30 days, as listed on the sub-processor list. BioPlot loads no analytics. Browser storage is not encrypted by BioPlot, so do not use it for patient-identifiable data.
AI and connectors
The assistant is optional and uses your own provider key; the hosted assistant is not yet funded. BioPlot also has a connector that lets Claude or ChatGPT use its tools while a BioPlot tab is open and connected. See Connect your AI.
Limits
- BioPlot is an alternative for the supported workflows, not for every Prism feature. Methods that differ from Prism are documented in the app.
- Some methods are implemented with validation still partial; the app labels each one.
- The .prism export has not been opened in GraphPad Prism itself.
- Research beta: features may change and there is no service level agreement.
